By Ryan George · Sunday, October 25, 2026 · Stade de France, Paris
Ryan's running notes from Paris, first snap to final whistle. Final: Steelers 16, Saints 10.
First half
- It doesn't look like the Saints want to deal with Warren.
- Feels like they did the Saints a favor getting in shotgun in the red zone.
- Quick game is killing us.
- Special teams can't play one clean week. Stupid hold on a placement punt.
- 1st quarter summary: Staying ahead of the chains, controlling TOP.
- Watt with a ridiculous play shooting to the inside and attacking the ball... which was a fumble by the way. You can't have the call on the field a fumble and then say there was conclusive evidence Shough had control.
- DK with a hell of a catch. His best as a Steeler perhaps.
- This special teams is... something.
- For a team that can't run the ball, the Saints are sure passing easily.
- Good goal-line stand rendered moot with a New Orleans touchdown. Feels like they're picking on Ramsey in coverage.
- 2 personal fouls... gotta clean that up. Potentially points taken off the board on both drives.
- 2nd quarter summary: Good to go into the half with the lead but they had the opportunity for more.
Second half
- Wilson with the 3rd personal foul. Can't fault him there. Let them play.
- Is Highsmith playing? Too many games this year where you don't hear his name.
- The coverage is too soft... and just when I type this a FANTASTIC play by Wilson.
- Veteran first down on 3rd and long from Rodgers with a lightning pass to Freiermuth. Laces be damned.
- This offense's identity seems to be forming: death by 1000 cuts and maybe a bazooka every now and again, but settle for a field goal. Steelers 16 – Saints 10.
- Big 3rd down stop here. Seems the trend in the league now is taking a book out of Flores' defense with mug looks on 3rd down.
- Miss by Carlson... points on the next drive may just do it.
- Awful drive capped off with Fautanu getting beat again....
- Queen with the sack! I love these exotic fronts on 3rd down. Really tough to block up and puts the focus on protection rather than exotic routes.
- Big scramble from Rodgers on 3rd down to take it to the two minute warning. I thought for sure he was going to take another one of those untimely sacks.
- And with a Saints penalty, that's game. Steelers 16, Saints 10.
